About
Depressed roommates Sam (series creator Bri Castellini) and Pat (Chris Cherry) use comedy to navigate the complexities and awkwardness of their individual therapy experiences. Sam frets over how long it takes her to introduce herself to new therapists and whether she’s being rude to them, while Pat worries about depressing her therapist and accidentally getting herself put on suicide watch because of poorly-timed nihilistic humor.

Bri and Chris Are Depressed is a companion podcast to Sam and Pat Are Depressed, co-hosted by the co-stars of the series who are themselves depressed. Each episode of the podcast deconstructs both the accompanying web series episode but also the therapy/depression observation discussed within it. Put differently, it’s a comedy podcast about mental illness hosted by two real life friends and depressed people who also have a comedy web series about mental illness. It’s funnier than it sounds.
