About

My name is Bri Castellini, and I make things for a living.

I’m a bi, asexual writer/director of dialog-driven dramedy at the intersection of queerness, type A female leads, mental health, and unlicensed private detectives with my eye on the prize; writing and directing for television. My writing has been a finalist for a Stowe Story Labs fellowship, an Austin Film Festival Second Rounder, and a Quarterfinalist for Final Draft’s Big Break contest, The PAGE Awards, and the Inroads Screenwriting Fellowship. In the meantime, I write, direct, and produce independent content for myself and those canny enough to hire me. My preferred comedic tone is best exemplified by my 2017 award-winning short Ace and Anxious, which just surpassed 155k views on YouTube and was previously distributed by the queer streaming platform RevryTV. When I’m not on set, I’m the co-host of the podcasts Burn, Noticed and Breaking Out of Breaking In, about the USA television series Burn Notice and independent film production, respectively, and writing contemporary romance novels.

I can also lick my elbow (not clickbait)
