About

My name is Bri Castellini, and I make things for a living.

I’m an independent film and creative problem-solving consultant, a romance author, and a subject matter expert in crowdfunding, indie filmmaking, film festivals, podcasting, and the USA television show Burn Notice. As a queer writer/director, I’m known for my short film Ace and Anxious (165k+ views on YouTube) and for my podcast Breaking Out of Breaking In.

I personally helped launch over $25 million dollars in crowdfunding campaigns with an 85% success rate while I was the Manager of Creator Success at the artist crowdfunding platform Seed&Spark, and I have spoken at over 200 events and festivals virtually and in person on the subjects previously listed.

Less professionally relevant facts: I grew up in Colorado, went to college in Oregon, switched coasts to New York City for grad school, and moved back west to Los Angeles, CA in 2021. I owned goats from ages 5-20, my favorite sport as a teen was fencing (yes, I did read Tamora Pierce at an impressionable age, why do you ask?), and in my spare time, you can find me reading romance novels, rewatching Scrubs for the fiftieth time, and playing board games with friends and family and being totally normal about it.
